Venezuela Loses Default Judgment on Bonds to Pharo Gaia Fund So Damages Due Oct 21

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Oct 11 – The Pharo Gaia Fund sued Venezuela on eight series on bonds the country issued in 1997, 2998 and 2001.      

    On October 7 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Analisa Torres consider an order to show cause and motion for default judgment, which Inner City Press which covers Venezuela in the SDNY and UN came upon in the docket and has been following. 

 Judge Torres granted default judgment and asked by October 21 for a calculation of additional accrued damages, and by November 8 for billing records for an award of fees.

The case is Pharo Gaia Fund, Ltd. et al. v. Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, 20-cv-8497 (Torres)
