SDNY COURTHOUSE, Oct 21 – The SEC sued Shamoon Omer Rafiq for a $9 million stock fraud.
On October 21 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Jesse M. Furman held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.
Judge Furman noted that Rafiq never answered, and so he approved entry of a default judgment enjoining Rafiq from any future violation of Section 17(c) of the Securities Act of 1933.
The case is Securities and Exchange Commission, v. Rafiq, 21-cv-2168 (Furman)
