SDNY COURTHOUSE, August 23 – A shipment of crab meat from Ziaman, China via Buson, South Korean to Houston, Texas has given rise to an admiralty / maritime lawsuit.

On August 23 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Paul A. Engelmayer held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

When Aquabest Seafood LLC in Miami got the crab meat, it determined that it was not fit for human consumption and had no value, due to "temperature abuse."

New York-based MSC Mediterrean Shipping Company S.A. has been sued.

Judge Engelmayer referred the case, for settlement, to SDNY Magistrate Judge Ona T. Wang.

The case is Aquabest Seafood LLC v. MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A., 21-cv-4195 (Engelmayer)
