SDNY COURTHOUSE, July 24 – Khalil O. Jackson was working at Morgan Stanley when he left on U.S. military deployment to Afghanistan. Then for failure to promote him, he sued, under USERRA.

On July 23, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge John G. Koeltl held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Counsel for Morgan Stanley was dismissive of Jackson's record, about pointed out the lower percentage of VPs who rise to ED in any particular year.

Its summary judgment motion is due on August 13.

The case is Jackson v. Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc., 20-cv-2843 (Koeltl)
