Insurance Company Sues Baruch Singer In SDNY Diversity As Lower East Side Resident

SDNY COURTHOUSE,  May 26 – Illinois Union Insurance Company has sued Baruch Singer for contractual indemnification and $1 million. 

  On May 25, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge John P. Cronan held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it. 

  Judge Cronan asked about diversity jurisdiction, including where does Singer live?

The answer was he's a lifetime resident of the Lower East Side, Grand Street to be specific.

The case is Illinois Union Insurance Company v. Singer et al., 21-cv-1170 (Cronan)
