NYS COURTHOUSE, July 7 – In Michael Cohen's lawsuit seeking reimbursement from the Trump Organization for his legal fees, the issue arose on July 7 of at what point and in what proceeding Cohen was no longer working for and with Trump.
The final pre-trial conference was held before Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Joel Cohen on Friday, in a second floor courtroom overlooking Worth Street and Foley Square. Inner City Press was there.
Michael Cohen's lawyer Hunter Winstead said that during the Mueller investigation his client was told to cooperate but "stay on message." One thing, he implied, led to another.
Judge Cohen asked, What if your client later in the process asked to testify to Congress? Could that be said to be a proceeding growing out of his employment by the Trump Organization?
That answer would seem to be know. In the other(s') focus, Donald Trump Junior may be called as a witness.
The trial is set to begin on July 24, after jury selection July 17.
