UN GATE, Dec 12 – While today's US State Department says it is working to try to get Taiwan admitted as a member into some peripheral United Nations bodies, it ignores and does nothing about the fact that residents of Taiwan are unable to even enter the UN, as tourists - or journalists.
Under Secretary General Antonio Guterres, who replies only with the phrase "One China Policy" and bans the Press which asks about this, the UN will not allow anyone in with a Taiwan passport.
Since the UN has no respect for freedom of the press - it has banned Inner City Press which asked about this, and CCP bribes - it bans any journalist from Taiwan.
And yet, today this: "On December 13, 2023, the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States (TECRO) convened representatives of the U.S. Department of State and the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs for consultations in Washington on expanding Taiwan’s participation in the United Nations system."
Today's State Department has done nothing about the UN's ban on Inner City Press, either.
