LITERARY SDNY, June 17 – Josh Schulte had landed a few blows on FBI agent Evanchec. But how would he do against his former supervisor at the CIA, Anthony Leonis?

It started well enough, with Schulte showing the Leonis had never managed people before he worked at the CIA. (Judge Furman did not allow him to ask where it was that Leonis had worked). But the things go too personal, or surreal.

Schulte asked, You never spoke with me before you wrote me up, right?

We planned to speak with you, Leonis said calmly. He had prepared for this.   But your memo was already written, Schulte demanded.    There was no memo, Leonis said.

Schulte looked at the jury and back. "No memo?"

Leonis smirked. "It was a memorandum," he said.

The US objected to Schulte saying "Foreign Office West," and revealing a location. There had been two overseas offices connected to the supposed Local access network, DEVLAN.

"Move it along, Mr. Schulte," the judge said. The CIA wanted to get Leonis out of town by nightfall.   And they did, and even put a Microsoft expert, then at MITRE, on the stand.

It would be long weekend for Schulte in the MDC.

And Wheelock vowed he would try to learn more about the roots of all this leaking, before considering his own. More on Patreon here.
