With Nishad Singh on cross examination on Tuesday, October 17, his testimony about SBF's use of FTX customers' money for political and other donations came to the fore. Inner City Press live tweeted, some here:
SBF's Cohen: You testified you got involved in political spending, right?
Nishad Singh: Yes. SBF's Cohen: When was that? Singh: I got excited about Prop 12 in California. I deducted so Alameda would donate it. SBF's Cohen: In 2021, did it get larger? Singh: Yes
SBF's Cohen: Did you work with political consultants? Singh: Sam and Gabe and Barbara. SBF's Cohen: You entered a written consulting agreement with Gabe, Sam's brother?
Singh: Yes. SBF's Cohen: This is you and Michael Sadowsky? Singh: Yes
SBF's Cohen: And he asks if you are comfortable with it, an investment? Singh: I think he meant, being the face of the donations. SBF's Cohen: You got pings from Mr. Salame [Cohen pronounces it Salaam] to approve donations?
Judge Kaplan: To approve wire transfers...
