CENTRE ST,
June 11 รข There is another
murder trial in 100 Centre
Street, and again hardly
anyone is there. The defendant
is linked to the killing of
two young adults, and the
shooting of a 96-year-old man.
On June 11, Inner City Press
live tweeted: ...Murder
trial for killing of a
resident of Smith Houses in
lower Manhattan On the stand:
NYPD gun expert. He: I went to the
77th Precinct on Utica Avenue
in Brooklyn, where they
invoiced the gun. This crime
scene was in the confines of
the 77th. [Defendant
Sundance Oliver also turned
himself in at the 77th, after
a manhunt] ADA: Open the
evidence bag and tell me about
the gun [Witness does]
Defendant: Oooh, he's got a
gun! [Smiles - he has face
tattoos, reportedly "Rich
Forever" though Inner City
Press cannot read it from here
in the courtroom
gallery] ADA: What is the
package number on the box with
the gun in it? [Now defendant
is rocking back and forth as
if he had music headphones on.
Except he doesn't.] ADA: Did you dust
for fingerprints? Witness: No.
That's for the lab - we sent
it out to Jamaica,
Queens Cross. Defense:
You sent the gun to the lab
for ballistics, DNA and
fingerprints, right? NYPD Witness:
Yes. Defense: Show the photo
of the gun... You were careful
not to touch the slide, the
grip - serial number ACH754856
- bought by Sky Brown in
Vermont? Judge
Felicia Mennin: We'll end
here The next witnesses are all law enforcement. The trial continues
