Cronies To Go

Substack UN GATE,
Feb 16 â How corrupt and
decrepit has the UN system
become under Antonio Guterres,
in this case due to Guterres?
Today's example is again from
the Office of the High
Commission for Human Rights,
to which Guterres appointed
his unqualified crony Volker
Turk more than two years ago.
From OHCHR
staff: "Dear Matthew Russell
Lee: Dear Matthew Russell Lee
There is little hope in
corrupt Guterres UN. Today
crony Volker Turk announced
his new deputies. As expected,
apparatchik Awa Dabo will
replace Nada. al Nashif. OHCHR
staff celebrates Nadaâs
departure. Nada Al
Nashif, âsoulless Nada, âcruel
Nadaâ as she is know by the
staff, leaves after 6 years as
deputy High Commissioner. Nada
Al Nashif leaves a record of
mistreatment of staff (mainly
young women), nepotism
favoring her nationals like
Mohamed Al An Sour and other,
promoting corrupt and
incapable like Kim Taylor,
Maarit Kohonen or Nils
Clouseau or using donors funds
to cover mismanagement and
retaliate against
whistleblowers. Worse OIOS knows
about it but has been covering
her corruption. After 6
Years Nada Al Nashif leaves a
dubious record of being
despised by civil society and
member states and hates by
staff. Unfortunately her
record of corruption will not
be investigated by OIOS. Nada
will try to escape a well
deserved investigation. Still,
todays announcement is
something that most OHCHR will
celebrate ( still many cronies
to go). Volker
Turkâs term ends in September
2026. Member states must
ensure he is not extended by
his master, Uber-corrupt Tony
Guterres." Inner City Press
re-applied to re-enter the UN
on June 19, 2025 - no answer
at all from Melissa Fleming,
Tel Mekel, Stephane Dujarric
for six months, then a denial
with no reason at all given.
Today's UN is corrupt.
