SDNY COURTHOUSE, Feb 10 – During the trial that convicted Tony Hernandez, the brother of Honduras' president Juan Orlando Hernandez (JOH), on all four counts of guns and narcotics trafficking and false statements, the Honduran National Police came up again and again in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Evidence about President JOH, it emerged in a  proceeding before Judge Castel, would come in. Memo on Patreon here; proceeding live tweeted here and below.

Inner City Press did some digging, and find that the related case US v. Arnaldo Urbina Soto, et al. has gone largely confidential, but for a reference to the lack of cooperation of the Honduras government. The indictment is now on Patreon here.

And on February 1, 2023, Inner City Press was the only media in the SDNY Magistrates Court when Arnaldo Urbina Soto was presented, having just been extradited, and was detained in prison.

On February 10, this: "Minute Entry for proceedings held before Judge Denise L. Cote: Pretrial Conference as to Arnaldo Urbina Soto held on 2/10/2023. Today's proceeding was held in person, in Courtroom 18B. Defendant present Spanish interpreter Humberto Garcia present. Government advised of its obligations under Rule 5(f). Next conference set for June 9, 2023 at 2:00 PM. Time excluded from February 10, 2023 until June 9, 2023 pursuant to 18 USC § 3161 (h)(7)(A). Detention continued. (see transcript.) (Pretrial Conference set for 6/9/2023 at 02:00 PM before Judge Denise L. Cote).

The case is US v. Soto, et al., 18-cr-497 (Cote)

 We'll have more on this.

   More on Patreon here.

On October 26 after the murder and release of the video, Inner City Press went to (try to) pose the question to Guterres. The response? Video here. Three UN security vehicles, and even a publicly funded NYPD detective, "protecting" Guterres who already wastes untold public funds on security. Disgusting. A protest has been called for, and is needed - @InnerCityPress response here.  More on Patreon here.

Inner City Press on October 18 asked the defendant's lawyer Omar Malone about this client's post arrest statement, the admitted murders by the cooperating witnesses, and upcoming sentencing submission. Video and answers here.

Here was the post arrest statement as initially put in to the jury, as uploaded to YouTube by Inner City Press, here. The case is US v. Diaz Morales, 15-cr-00379 (Castel).
