SDNY COURTHOUSE, Feb 20 – In the cryptocurrency case by the SEC against Justin Sun and Tron, February 16 was a deadline - and on it, Sun filed a motion for a conference about filing a motion to dismiss.
Inner City Press is covering the case, like SBF, Terraform, Tether and others, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
The letter begins: "We submit this pre-motion conference request and letter on behalf of defendants Tron Foundation Limited (“Tron Foundation”), BitTorrent Foundation Ltd. (“BitTorrent Foundation”), Justin Sun, and Rainberry, Inc... laying out the basis for Defendants’ anticipated motion to dismiss all claims in this action. This action is an overreaching attempt by the SEC"

On February 20, Judge Ramos scheduled the conference for March 7 and required an SEC response: " re Proposed Motion To Dismiss Complaint. A pre-motion conference will be held on March 7, 2024.... Plaintiff is directed to respond by February 29, 2024."
The case is SEC v. Sun, et al., 23-cv-2433 (Ramos)
