SDNY COURTHOUSE, June 9 – Michael McConaughey was diagnosed with gender dysphoria and transitioned surgically from a woman to a man - then suffered discrimination within the Port Authority of NY and NJ.
On June 9, 2023, U.S. District Court of for the Southern District Judge Ronnie Abrams held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.
Plaintiff's counsel said he wanted to extend discovery to get access to a WhatsApp thread called GWB Command.
He was asked why he'd delayed and said, "We had a baby." He added that he couldn't find an expert.
An extension was granted - with the Port Authority's lawyer said they don't represent the PA officers with respect to their personal devises.
The case is McConaughey v. Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, 21-cv-6137 (Abrams)
