COURTHOUSE,
June 18 รข A man depicted
shooting a ghost gun 12 times
by a housing project in the
Bronx at 3 am asked to be
released on bail on June
18. In the
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrates Court, there was
no one but Inner City Press in
the gallery, so this X thread:
Judge: I've seen the video and
it does not appear anyone shot
at him. AUSA:
According to the Carolina
records, there have been 12
bench warrants issued against
him. Defense lawyer: You can
see the dirt kick up beside
him. AUSA: Exhibit A
would have you the best view.
Judge: Just give
me a minute... I saw a
gentleman wearing white
approach the defendant. It
looks like the defendant pulls
out his gun first. I do see
some dirt jumping up. But
regardless this looks to me
like a very dangerous
incident. Judge: I don't
think he's a risk of flight,
but it strikes me that he is a
very volatile personality who
bought a ghost gun. There was
a window, there was a case
like this in another state
that a lot of people are
paying attention to. He poses
a risk. Judge: He will
be detained. The case is USA v. Chance, 1:26-mj-2182 (Cave)
