SDNY COURTHOUSE, Nov 7 – Raymond Arntsen was disbarred as a lawyer more than a decade ago, for stealing money.

On November 7 he reappeared on PPP loan fraud charges before U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn. Inner City Press was there, the only media in the SDNY Mag court, live

"Mag Court SDNY exclusive: disbarred Cowell lawyer Douglas Arntsen has just been ordered released on $1.3 million bond - but prosecutors have been given 1 hour to appeal. Will they?"

Judge Netburn ordered Arntsen released on $1.3 million bond, to live with his parents and not talk about the case with his domestic partner, noting that they co-parent. He also cannot have the personal identifying information of others, except his daughter for purposes of applying to college.

The Assistant US Attorney asked for an hour's stay, to see if his Office would appeal to the Part 1 Judge, or to the now-assigned District Judge P. Kevin Castel. Arntsen remained in the holding cell.

The Office decided NOT to appeal, and Arntsen was released. There was a question about his passport card.
