SDNY COURTHOUSE, Jan 19  – Rapper Tekashi #6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, got a light sentence in his gang case as a cooperator. But he also got five years of supervised release.  Now in January 2024, he has reportedly been arrested for domestic violence.

While the arrest is in the Dominican Republic and not the United States, the question arises whether it could constitute a violation of supervised release in his US case before U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Paul A. Engelmayer.

It is reported that authorities in the Dominican Republic have arrested U.S. rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, who is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday on charges of domestic violence.  The rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernández, is being held at a jail in the capital of Santo Domingo, where he was arrested Wednesday, officials said.

But what will Judge Engelmayer say? Inner City Press is on the case(s).
