SDNY COURTHOUSE, Oct 20 – Bank of New York Mellon is accused of a "multi-year dual-tracking game of cat-and-mouse using the courts as vehicles of fraud" and taking people's homes.

On October 19, 2022, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrate Judge Katharine H. Parker held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Plaintiff Harriet Nicholson recounted that BONYM told her that due to "investor relations there can be no loan modification," proffering $6000 for her to move out of her home.

She wants to amend her complaint, and BONYM is moving to dismiss.

Judge Parker stayed discovery pending these motions.

The case is Nicholson v. The Bank of New York Mellon, 22-cv-3177 (Gardephe / Parker)
