SDNY COURTHOUSE, March 26 – After conviction of stealing $150,000 from a non-profit organization, Michelle Foley got a condition of her supervised release removed. Then she absconded.
The US Attorney's Office wrote in 2020, "the defendant has absconded from supervision."
On March 24, 2023 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Victor Marrero held a proceeding. Inner City Press was present, the only media in the courtroom, and covered it.
Judge Marrero sentenced Foley to time served, three more years of supervised - and eight months of home detention.
The case is US v. Foley, 18-cr-521 (Marrero)
