SDNY COURTHOUSE, Sept 7 – Paul Pennolino, a director of Trevor Noah's Daily Show, was fired at 61 years old and sued for age discrimination.
On September 6, 2022, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Lewis J. Liman held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.
Pennolino's lawyer said his client was fired only for age discrimination. Judge Liman said that probably wasn't what the defendants would say. He asked about the directors' union.
Plaintiff's counsel is asking for $20 million in lost future earnings, and saying his client was told he didn't fit with the show's younger demographic.
The case is Pennolino v. Central Productions LLC, 22-cv-5051 (Liman)
