SDNY COURTHOUSE, Feb 16 –  The Republic of Congo - Brazzazille, plagued by charges of corruption, owns an apartment 32G at 1 Central Park West. Creditor Commissions Import Export S.A. is trying to enforce a judgment and take it.

On February 16, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Katherine Polk Failla held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

The fight has ranged to France, and has included accusations of counsel complicity.

There is also the question of immunity, with its commercial activity exception.

The case is  Commissions Import Export S.A. v. Republic of the Congo et al., 19-mc-195 (Failla)
