SDNY COURTHOUSE, August 5 – In a case against Noom for, among other things, its luring of consumers into automatic renewals without their knowledge or consent, Noom made a number of motions to dismiss.
On August 5, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Lorna G. Schofield held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.
While Judge Schofield grants a few of Noom's requests, dismissing causes of action asserting conversion under New York, Ohio, Texas, Alabama and DC law, and a portion of the California state law claims, she left fully 274 causes of actions standing.
The case is Nichols, et al. v. Noom Inc., et al., 20-cv-3677 (Schofield)
