UN GATE, July 31 – The US takes over the UN Security Council presidency on August 1, 2023 - while US-based Inner City Press is still banned from the UN, and the US Mission and its Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield have done nothing about it.
This month will be the litmus test.
On August 3, LTG's "signature" event, on food. Then three meetings on Syria, on the 8th, 23rd and 29th. Nothing on Niger or Cameroon, or even Haiti. But they've got UNRCCA, a long time UN corruption dumping spot.
And beyond acquiescence in censorship, that's the problem with this USUN: they are silent on UN corruption (Guterres omitting SDNY convicted CEFC China Energy's link to his finance, through Gulbenkian), UN rapes by peacekeepers.
Inner City Press on June 19 applied to the UN for access, as it gives 100s, to cover the UNGA week. Inner City Press has a NYC Press Pass and writes about the UN. The ban is contrary to the First Amendment (and even the UN's Article 19) but the US Mission to the UN does nothing.
The US was not listed by the UN, in its July 28 "Week Ahead," as having a UN press conference on August 1 about their presidency. But on Sunday, July 30, it emerged that there will be such a press conference, in the UN, on August 1 at 2 pm. Inner City Press immediately wrote to the official addresses of the US Mission to the UN requesting access on August 1, and confirmation of receipt.
Twenty four hours later, nothing. But on July 31, Linda Thomas-Greenfield took a "pre-submitted question, 'What’s the situation of Colombia and Latin America in terms of food security? For example, in a Colombian region named Guajira, there is a big data of children struggling with hunger.'" Then a scripted answer. We'll have more, much more, on this -- seemingly, America Last. Video here, at end. Watch this site.
