SDNY COURTHOUSE, Aug 22 – In the 1990s murder and narcotics conspiracy case headline by Pistol Pete Rollock, Robinson Lazala a/k/a Mac 11 was convicted and isn't set to be released from prison until 2030. Inner City Press has been reporting on the so-called Sex Money Murder case.
On June 20, 2023, the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York applied to SDNY Judge Lorna G. Schofield that $11,000 in Lazala's inmate trust account be transferred to the SDNY Clerk of Court as restitution.
Lazala, in Lompoc, had requested to withdraw $10,000 of it. The Bureau of Prisons refused. Lazala is not in FCI Victorville.
Lazala on July 16 opposed the motion, pro se, noting that he already had a payment plan. On August 2 the US Attorney's Office replied, that he would suffer no hardship and must pay the money.
Docketed on August 22, Lazala said his case is different than one cited by the prosecutors, US v. Shkreli because he "gave the AG and Court notification of a material change in his economic circumstances through the BOP Agency."
The case is called US v. Rollack, et al., 97-cr-1293 (Schofield)
