SDNY COURTHOUSE, July 13 – Soter Technologies LLC owns a patent and trademark for FLYSENSE, a vape detecting sensor device it claims "protects our nation's children by helping authorites control the vapting and bullying crisis facing today's youth." Soter claims IP Video has infringed its intellectual property.
On July13 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Lewis J. Liman held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.
Judge Liman sensibly asked whether litigation about finding he made in granting a Temporary Restraining Order would be a good use of time.
He added, Our courts are here for that.
The response was an accusation that the TRO was gained by ex parte misrepresentation.
Judge Liman, staying cool, said Maybe you can prove that. He have the parties until July 15 at 5 pm to file a joint letter.
The case is Soter Technologies, LLC v. IP Video Corporation et al., 20-cv-5007 (Liman)
