SDNY COURTHOUSE, July 8 – Allen Brown is on Supervised Release, but was accused of using K-2 and making alcohol in his drug treatment program and was thrown out. Now he is in a shelter.
On July 8 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Paul A. Engelmayer held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.
Judge Engelmayer asked Brown to put his hand over the telephone he was using in the shelter, to avoid background noise.
The Probation officer urged remand to prison.
But Judge Engelmayer gave Brown one final chance, to seek out another in-patient program. "You can't say, I want hooch," he admonished Brown. Yes, Judge, was the answer.
A follow up proceeding, on August 6, was scheduled. The case is US v. Brown, 18-cr-593 (Engelmayer)
