UN GATE, Nov 8 – How corrupt has the UN become under Antonio Guterres? Today's example is again from the UNSMIL mission in Libya, sent to Inner City Press which Guterres and his Melissa Fleming ban from entering the UN to ask, while Spox Stephane Dujarric refuses written questions:
Dear Mr. Lee, We would like to thank you for the support you are giving to all of us in exposing corruption and evil management in the UN. In UNSMIL we have a very difficult life due to the above and no rights. Our reports to OIOS remain without follow up and even actions to be taken by the Mission and NY. If we talk, they fire us. Thanks again
None of the previous SRSGs did anything for us except SRSG Bhatily who unfortunately left the Mission... The Mission is using a big aircraft as a VIP flight for a few passengers a day (sometimes not even 8 in total) paying millions of dollars per year.
For UNSMIL this is not a waste, but our contracts are. UNSMIL wastes money for nothing. The same happens for the money budgeted for the UN helicopter for years. We never had one and we will never have a helicopter flying in Libya.
Even the ACABQ came to visit the Mission and did not notice the incredible waste of UN resources and obviously the CMS did not brief them about our miserable condition which is bad also for our National Colleagues in Tunisia. None of them talked to us. We are invisible. The same does Senior Management. None of us has been approached individually even to ask how we feel about UNSMIL. Even the normal courtesy of a greeting is not usual in UNSMIL. ACABQ members arrived all of them in Business class and stayed in the most luxurious hotels in Tunisia and all at UN expenses for a lot of money. A
ll of us were on alert for them in case of need. We are used to going to work many times when there are shootings in Tripoli. Some of us died for lack of UN medical support on duty and without medevac abroad. For ACABQ dozens of national staff were on alert 24 hrs. We are only Libyans for them. How can the Mission tolerate this situation?
That's today's UN under Guterres: pure hypocrisy...We will have more on this - the UN bans the Press and refuses to answer questions
