UN Federal Credit Union Is Ordered to Appeal in SDNY After Refusing to Comply with Subpoena for 5 Months

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Aug 24 –   The United Nations Federal Credit Union has refused to comply with a US subpoena. On August 20, the US filed a Petition against theUNFCU in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, where Inner City Press found and is the first to report it.

The Petition says that the US served a subpoena on UNFCU on February 9. On March 11, the return date, UNFCU refused to appear and its "failure to comply with the Summons continues to this date" - more than five months later.

On August 24 the assigned District Judge J. Paul Oetken docketed an "ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE: THIS IS A COURT ORDER WHICH REQUIRES YOU TO APPEAR BEFORE THE COURT," along with provision for UNFCU being served by US Marshals. This is how low the UN system has fallen under Antonio Guterres, who continues to ban Inner City Press which reports on it and him.

The case is USA v. United Nations Federal Credit Union, 1:26-mc-420 (Oetken)
