UN GATE, Dec 1 – How corrupt is today's United Nations? A China diplomat, seeing an exhibit inside the UN with a photo of the Tiananmen Square tank man along side Ghandi and Mandela, defaced the exhibit, which was sponsored by Malta.
The response? From UN Security, a disgusted member of which leaked this to the Press, nothing. From Malta, member of the UN Security Council, nothing.
Only, to quietly remove and disappear Tiananmen Square as if had never been there - like UNSG Antonio Guterres had Inner City Press roughed up and removed, never to return under his watch.
Was this for China too, since Inner City Press asked about Guterres' financial link to convicted CCP briber China Energy Fund Committee, through the Gulbenkian Foundation?
UN Spokesman Stephane Dujarric refuses to answer written questions, and USG Melissa Fleming has refused to even respond to Inner City Press' application for re-entry and two pro bono law firm letters. Watch this space.
