UN / FASHION AVE / SDNY, March 23 -- Even after Larry Ray was taken out of the courthouse on a gurney for the second time, and another trial day was canceled, the arguments continued.
His Federal Defenders wanted to exclude the testimony of an FBI agent about Backpage. The prosecutors wanted to get that in as well as a list of articles on Ray's laptop like "Cult Membership: What factors contribute to joining or leaving?"
Kurt had published that exhibit without incident. But publishing the list of Claudia Drury's clients had triggered the requests he take it down, and still no response from the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press.
Meanwhile it emerged there had been a conference call about the case, even on the day out, but no notice in PACER to the public and press, no access.
Amid others' vague talk about a couple from the Gap, Kurt had asked the UN Spokesman Stephane Dujarric in writing about a Liberian politician, in Antonio Guterres' circle, now presumptively a John. Nothing. No answer at all, to banned Inner City Press.
Instead in a briefing including known sexual harassers Dujarric read canned statements about Ukraine, as if it made up for his bosses Guterres and Melissa Fleming having told 25 UN official to not even call it an invasion or a war. It was the UN of Guterres which had prostituted itself.
Kurt decided Step Two would bridge The Gap, on Patreon here. #JohnListGone
[It, like a song about Lev Parnas was also covered, behind a paywall, by New York Magazine which had this to say about Inner City Press' covered in late 2021 of the Ghislaine Maxwell trial, book here via one of the companies with an executive on the John list.]
When Inner City Press for investigative reporting was roughed up and thrown out onto First Avenue from covering the United Nations of/by UNSG Antonio Guterres, many did nothing. But as we've previously noted, the First Amendment stops at First Avenue. We'll have more on this, here and on other platforms.
