SDNY COURTHOUSE, May 15 – A Freedom of Information Act request for records initially withheld about the interrogation(s) of Abu Zubaydah has given rise to litigation.

On May 14, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Paul A. Engelmayer held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Judge Engelmayer said, diplomatically, that the US Attorney's Office had some difficulty in getting records from the agencies in Washington under the last Administration and asked the AUSA about cooperation on this request.

The response was that things are moving smoothly. Judge Engelmayer wished the parties, including Raymond Bonner working on a documentary, luck in getting things "across the goal line."

The case is Bonner v. Federal Bureau Of Investigation et al., 21-cv-2166 (Engelmayer)
