SDNY COURTHOUSE, May 14 – On May 13 it was announced that there would be a proceeding in "US v. Doe Corporation" the following morning before U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Gregory H. Woods. Inner City Press live tweeted it - about Swiss Life, with a deferred prosecution agreement, here:

Judge Woods: I understand that you as the representative of the Swiss Life entities are ready to consent to an information and a deferred prosecution agreement.

Lawyer: That is correct your Honor.

Judge Woods is going to be taking a plea from Swiss Life. But it's a "deferred prosecution agreement," like HSBC got for laundering money for El Chapo.

Swiss Life lawyer Conrad (or Konrad) is 66 years old. He is the corporate secretary of the Swiss Life group.

Will he be asked if he has had drugs or alcohol in the last 24 hours, as other defendants are? Seems he will. "Any substance" - very diplomat.

Judge Woods: I understand there is a deferred prosecution agreement. AUSA: There is. Judge Woods: Who signed it? K/Conrad: I did.

AUSA: They are being charged with one count of defrauding the IRS, aiding and abetting US taxpayers evading taxes. Judge Woods: This is a felony. Do you understand?

K/Conrad: I do.

And yet, Swiss Life is allowed to plead not guilty.

And the AUSA asks to exclude Speedy Trial Act time for a full 3 years, to May 14, 2024.

Judge Woods says that time can be used to show good conduct.
