COURTHOUSE,
Aug 5 รข A man charged with a
Violation of Supervised
Release is up for sentencing
on August 7 before Judge
Valerie E. Caproni in the U.S
District Court for the
Southern District of New York,
which Inner City Press closely
covers. His
Federal Defender has written
in saying that the time he has
spent in the MDC, and on
Rikers Island before that, is
enough and that he should be
given a time served
sentence. Of
the underlying crime, the
Federal Defender writes that
"He spent the day drinking
alone before impulsively
firing a gun from the window
of an apartment," for which he
got 24 months. This case is USA v. Mally, 1:22-cr-29 (Caproni)
