Man from Panama From Who Entered US in 2024 via El Paso Is Detained So Files Habeas by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack SDNY COURTHOUSE, June 10 –A man from Panama who entered the US in 2024 via El Paso has been detained by ICE at 26 Federal Plaza. He filed a habeas corpus petition in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, where Inner City Press found it.    The petition says the "the precise date, location and circumstances of his arrest must be confirmed through Respondents' records and a client interview." It adds that he was fleeing persecution from the G4 gang in Colon, Panama.     The case has been assigned to Judge Jennifer L. Rochon. The case is Hepburn Aguilar v.
