COURTHOUSE,
March 31 รข Six defendants are
charged with cutting into a
Bank of America ATM machine
and stealing $500,000, as well
as attempting armed robberies
by impersonating ICE officers
and sticking up a restaurant
on Second Street in
Manhattan. On March
31 one of them was transferred
from immigration custody and
presented in the U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Court. Inner City
Press was there.
While some co-defendants got
bail packages, this one did
not, due to the immigration
issue or perhaps great
involvement - the complaint
and indictment does not make
clear. Initially
complaint was only about a
BofA ATM branch on West 147th
Street and Broadway, and has
photos of the cuts in the
wall. The subsequent
indictment added more charges,
and more defendants. The overall case is USA v. Nikac, 1:26-cr-113 (Vyskocil)
