Machine Gun on Bronx Street Gets
37 to 46 Month Plea Deal in SDNY

April 2 â A man charged with
having a machine gun and being
a felon in possession was
brought from the Essex County
Correctional Facility to pled
guilty before U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge Jed
S. Rakoff. Inner City Press
tweeted it - including the
plea deal the US Attorney's
Office signed with with
defendant, for 37 to 46
months, with the felon in
possession charge dropped.
Afterward, "On or about
November 14, 2025, at around
4:00 p.m., MALDONADO, who has
been previously convicted of
multiple felony offenses,
discharged a machine gun in
the vicinity of East 170th
Street and Third Avenue in the
Bronx, including two shots
that struck a nearby
vehicle.
Detectives of the New York
City Police Department
(âNYPDâ), who were in the
vicinity of the gunshots,
spotted and promptly
apprehended MALDONADO, who was
in possession of an
un-serialized Polymer 80,
model PF940C, 9x19mm caliber
firearm, a ghost gun.
MALDONADO, 53, of New York,
New York, pled guilty to one
count of possession of a
machine gun, which carries a
maximum sentence of 10 years
in prison." Sentencing
is set for July 14 - Bastille
Day. The case is USA
