SDNY COURTHOUSE, May 11 – At the United Nations, Secretary General Antonio Guterres has been phoning it in for some time. But on North Korea he hit a new low on May 11. UN cheat sheet here.

His representative Khaled Khiari briefed the Security Council, chaired by the US whose Ambassador has been in Belgium, about nuclear tests and missile.

But the cheat sheet admitted "there is no United Nations or internationally agreed definitions for classifying missiles by range. For the purpose of Security Council resolutions, we only need to determine whether a using used ballistic missile technology or not." Oh.

The cheat sheet also said, "Q: If asked on Security Council unity and/or for final intervention. • Demonstrating Security Council unity is critical to prevent further escalation of tensions on the Korean Peninsula and in the region. Encourage Council Members to take a comprehensive approach and be flexible."

Yeah, be flexible - that is Antonio Guterers' hallmark, except on letting the Press freely report. On that, he has had Inner City Press banned from the UN, refusing through Melissa Fleming to even answer a polite letter seeking reinstatement from pro bono law firm Quinn Emanuel. Letter here. His spokesman Stephane Dujarric refuses all of Inner City Press' questions.

But we will not cease
