SDNY COURTHOUSE, Feb 8 – World Gold Trust Services, LLC has sued crypto-currency focused Goldcoin Developers Group for misusing its trademarks and confusing the public.
On February 8, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge John G. Koeltl held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.
The complaint says that "Defendants have consistently lauded the GoldCoin cryptocurrency as a leading cryptocurrency... Reality presents a stark contrast to these self-promoting statements designed to enrich Mr. Matthews at the expense of the community and the public at large."
Judge Koeltl order the defendants to show cause as a February 19 hearing whey a default judgment should not be entered against them.
The case is World Gold Trust Services, LLC v. Goldcoin Developers Group LP et al., 20-cv-4667 (Koeltl)
