COURTHOUSE,
Aug 6 รข A man from Paraguay
who was detained by ICE just
before boarding a flight at
JFK Airport in Queens filed a
habeas corpus petition in the
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York,
where Inner City Press found
it. The
petition says "just before he
was set to get on the plane,
federal agents approached
him... Petitioner's partner,
who was with him, was not
allowed to follow or to see
where they took his loved
one." Later,
"presumable from the Hold Room
at 26 Federal Plaza,
Petitioner contacted his
partner and told him that he
was in Manhattan."
Inner City Press found the
petition soon after it was
filed, before it has been
assigned out. The case is
Muller Parra. v. Genalo, et
al., 1:26-cv-6740 (Unassigned)
