Woman from Venezuela From Who Entered US in 2022 via El Paso Is Detained So Files Habeas by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack SDNY COURTHOUSE, June 9 –A woman from Venezuela who entered the US in 2022 via El Paso has been detained by ICE at 26 Federal Plaza. S he filed a habeas corpus petition in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, where Inner City Press found it.    The petition says she received an email summoning her to 26 Federal Plaza, 5th floor, Room 537C on June 9 at 7 am. Checking in there she was detained.     The case has been assigned to Judge John P. Cronan. The case is Ortuna Reinas v. Genalo, et al., 1:26-cv-4862 (Cronan) *** Your support means a lot.
