COURTHOUSE,
June 5 รข A man arrested in
January 2026 with one kilo of
narcotics including fentanyl
as well as a 9mm Glock pistol
was brought to plead guilty on
June 5 in the U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrates Court, which Inner
City Press closely
covers. The initial
complaint had two counts,
distribution of narcotics and
firearm use, carrying and
possession. But the
plea deal on June 5 was to
plead guilty only to Count 1,
the narcotics. The gun
went away - even amid a 1PP
press conference that Inner
City Press also covered on
June 5. The plea was
recommended for acceptance by
the assigned District Judge
Jed S. Rakoff, and a
sentencing control date of
September 3 was set. The case is USA v. Jiminez, 1:26-cr-146 (Rakoff)
