SDNY COURTHOUSE, Feb 18 รข€“ Four defendants were arrested and released on bond in a bank fraud conspiracy case on January 7 before U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrate Judge Barbara C. Moses. Inner City Press was there, the only media in the SDNY Mag court.

The presentments were two by two. First the named defendant, assigned a Federal Defender, was released on $150,000 bond, along with a co-defendant regarding whose authorization to work without a green card was discussed and disputed.

Then a couple was bought out, and given a carve out from the don't speak to co-conspirators condition. The case has been indicted and wheeled out to District Judge P. Kevin Castel.

Jump cut to February 3, 2025 when the US Attorney Office wrote to Judge Castel asking for a week, to February 13, for discussions about a potential for a pretrial resolution."

On February 11, the US Attorney's Office wrote in again, noting they've requested a change of plea on Dominguez for February 18 and asking  for delay in filings for the still-scheduled April 20 trial of Liranzo.

On February 12 Judge Castel agreed to the delays, to February 20 and 27.

On February 18, Judge Castel told Dominguez the sentencing guidelines he was agreeing to: 37 to 46 months.

The case is USA v. Liranzo, et al., 1:24-cr-675 (Castel / Moses)
