As Brazil Takes Over UNSC Haiti on WhatsApp No Answers on El Pollo as Refuses Press Qs

by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack

UN GATE, Oct 2 – Brazil took over the UN Security Council presidency on October 1, 2023 - while Inner City Press is still banned from the UN, despite its June 19 application.

On September 30, Inner City Press wrote to the Brazilian Mission: "This is a timely request that you allow Inner City Press to enter and cover, and/or provide the WebEx  pass code(s) to access Brazil's UNSC Presidency press briefing by your Ambassador Sérgio França Danese on October 2, 2023." From Brazil, no answer.

When Amb. Danese held his presser on October 2, he dodged wan questions and his spokesperson, presumable Angelica Silva, said she would send only those present, only by WhatsApp, information about Haiti, where Brazil's military curried ill will among the poor for its violent peacekeeping in the past. WhatsApp only, to state media and hand picked correspondents - excluding Inner City Press which accompanied a previous UNSC mission to Haiti - is UNacceptable.

Inner City Press and I participate in the WebEx briefings of, for example, the IMF: March 31, 2022 and since with new IMF spokesperson Sept 28, 2023: MS. KOZACK:  Matthew Lee, let's start with you. Sure. QUESTIONER: Thanks a lot. Matthew Lee, Inner Press. Thanks for taking the question. I have two coups and crypto, but I'll go in different order... I saw the program with Burkina Faso, and so I'm just wondering what's the status of the IMF's discussions with and programs with other coup governments like in Niger, Mali and now Gabon.

Days later, sill no answer from the Brazil mission. Watch this site.

And beyond acquiescence in censorship, Danese and the Brazil Mission are silent on UN corruption (Guterres omitting SDNY-convicted, Trump World Tower condo-owning  CEFC China Energy's link to his finance, through Gulbenkian), and UN rapes by peacekeepers.

Inner City Press on June 19 applied to the UN for access, as it gives 100s, to cover the UNGA week. Inner City Press has a NYC Press Pass and writes about the UN. From Brazil and Danese, nothing.
