FEDERAL COURT, Feb 11 -- On Friday, February 11, DDC Judge Amy Berman Jackson had before her the case of Capitol breach defendant Joshua Wagner, for sentencing. Inner City Press live tweeted it here (previous podcast here) (TV Q&A here)

Assistant US Attorney quotes Wagner yelling F*ck Joe Biden; they are asking DDC Judge Amy Berman Jackson for 30 days in jail and $10.

Now the Assistant US Attorney is explaining to Judge Amy Berman Jackson about the possibility of servicing the sentence on the weekends.

Judge Jackson: The notion of probation and split sentence was not specifically set out.

Now the US says, We can do this.

Defense lawyer: He's 24 and got caught up. He has strong political views but he's embarrassed. He pled guilty as quickly as he could.

Wagner: I'm sorry for what I did at the Capitol. That's all I have to say. Judge Jackson: I appreciate your comments. I'll be back

And she's back. Judge Amy Berman Jackson: You missed the rally and went to the Capitol. You filmed yourself, your commentary. You chanted Stop the Steal. You said, Sh*t's gonna get real, dude, Trump's army, you said.

Judge Amy Berman Jackson: There were police there to try to stop you. You said, Let's occupy this grounds. You heard an officer shot someone and you called him a traitor. The US memo says you exhorted your fellow rioters, "We're holding dudes, stop the tyranny!

Judge Amy Berman Jackson: You yelled, Home of free, bro. There was no ambiguity. An individual was tear gassed. You said, That's why I'm wearing my mask.

Judge Amy Berman Jackson: You remained in the building for 25 full minutes. You didn't break anything or hurt anyone. You didn't brag about it afterward. We are supposed to be about the peaceful transfer of power. Your definition of tyranny was upside down

Judge Amy Berman Jackson: You can't overstate the seriousness of what happened on Jan 6. It was an attack on democracy itself. In an exercise of my discretion, I sentence you to 30 days and $10. Plus $500, no interest. Update your address until it's paid in full.
